Our Story

Built for the family
I love.

I'm raising young twins — one with special needs — with a Mexican-American wife whose mom and siblings still mostly speak Spanish. WiseNest is the bilingual, family-first retirement planner I needed for my own people. Now it's here for yours.

Hey there,

I'm Rich. I'm building WiseNest from inside three things happening at the same time: a retirement closer than I'd like to admit, two young twins at home — one with special needs — and a Mexican-American wife whose mom and siblings still mostly speak Spanish. None of the planning tools I tried could hold any one of those, much less all of them at once.

I started seriously planning my own retirement a few years ago and ran into the same wall every other family hits: the tools assume your life is tidy. Mine isn't. Ours isn't. There are income gaps from years of caregiving. There are decisions about what happens to the kids — especially our little one with extra needs — long after we're gone. There are conversations about money that need to happen in Spanish so my mother-in-law and my siblings-in-law can actually be part of them.

I tried every major retirement planner out there. The expensive ones, the free ones, the pretty ones, the spreadsheet-y ones. None of them modeled a household with caregiving years. None of them took special-needs planning seriously. None of them had a real conversation about what happens to my wife and our kids if I'm gone first. And almost none of them existed in Spanish in any way that felt like home — usually just a translated menu and a shrug.

So one Sunday I opened a blank spreadsheet and started building my own.

What began as a giant, fragile spreadsheet — the kind that makes your palms sweat every time you change a cell — slowly became something real. I taught myself the math behind Monte Carlo. I dug into how RMDs interact with Roth conversions. I built Survivor Mode because I needed to know, honestly, what my wife's life looks like financially if something happens to me. I built Legacy planning because we have to think about our twins for the long, long run.

And then a quieter realization hit me. Even if I built the most powerful planner in the world, it wasn't enough — not for us. My wife's mom, her siblings, our extended familia — they deserve to fully participate in these decisions, in the language they actually live in. Not a side menu. Not Google Translate. The whole experience, end to end, in warm Spanish that sounds like home.

That became the new mission: "Build the planner my whole family — both languages, all generations — can sit around the same table for."

I started showing early versions to friends, neighbors, parents I met online raising kids with extra needs, couples with uneven work histories, bilingual households where one partner had been carrying all the financial weight alone because the tools only spoke English. The reaction was the same every time — a long pause, then a quiet: this is the one we've been waiting for.

I built WiseNest to be powerful enough for the complicated stuff — Monte Carlo, Survivor Mode, Roth ladders, RMDs, Social Security timing, special-needs and legacy planning — and warm and bilingual enough that the whole family can use it together. Not dumbed down. Not cold. Not English-only. Just the planner we wished existed when we needed it most.

I priced it fairly because I hate expensive subscriptions that don't deliver. I built it with care because my own family's future — my twins, my wife, our parents — depends on getting this right. And I'm offering early access at a lifetime price because the families who show up early, who believe in this, deserve to be rewarded for that trust.

Welcome to WiseNest.

If your family also lives between languages and generations — if there's a parent who only speaks Spanish, a child who needs extra care, a partner who carried the household through some lean years, a survivor question that keeps you up at night — you're exactly who we built this for. I hope WiseNest gives you the same clarity, calm, and quiet pride it's giving us.

What We Believe

The values behind the product.

Built for real familias

WiseNest was built for my own family — bilingual, multigenerational, with caregiving years and a child with special needs. Every feature gets shaped by that lens, not by engagement metrics.

Bilingual from the heart

English and Spanish, side by side, top to bottom. Not a translated menu — the whole experience, written in warm Latin-American Spanish so the whole family can sit at the table together.

Honest by design

We show you the real math, including the scenarios you'd rather not see. You deserve to know where your plan is fragile — especially when other people's futures depend on it.
