The short version: We collect only what we need to run the Service, we don't sell your financial data, and your numbers are used only to power your retirement plan. Bank account linking is optional and read-only — you're always in control.

WiseNest Retirement, LLC ("WiseNest," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our retirement planning service at getwisenest.com and wisenest.app (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information to provide and improve our Service: **Information You Provide Directly:** • Account information: name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account • Financial planning data: retirement inputs you enter including income, expenses, savings balances, Social Security estimates, asset values, debt amounts, and related financial information • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your full payment card details • Communications: messages you send to us, support requests, and feedback • Advisor-specific data: client information entered by financial advisors using the Advisor tier **Information Collected Automatically:** • Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent in the application, and interaction patterns • Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers • Cookies and similar tracking technologies: session identifiers, preference storage, and analytics • Log data: server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service • Process your subscription and payments • Personalize and improve your experience with the Service • Generate retirement projections and analyses based on your inputs • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and Service-related matters • Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the Service • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents • Comply with legal obligations • Send you marketing communications where you have consented (you can opt out at any time) We do not use your financial planning data to train AI models or sell insights to third parties. Your retirement numbers are yours.

4. Financial Data — Our Commitment

We take the sensitivity of your financial information seriously. Here is our specific commitment regarding the financial data you enter into WiseNest: • Bank and brokerage account linking is entirely optional. When you choose to connect accounts, our integration is read-only — we access balances and holdings (for brokerage accounts) only, never transactions or login credentials. You can disconnect any account at any time from the Linked Accounts page. • We do not sell your financial data to third parties, including advertisers, data brokers, or financial institutions • We do not use your personal financial data to target you with financial products or services from third parties • Your financial planning inputs are used solely to provide the planning and analysis features you requested • We apply encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for all stored financial data Advisor users: Client financial data entered by advisors is treated with the same protections and is never used for purposes other than providing the Service.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze how the Service is used. **Essential Cookies:** Required for the Service to function, including authentication session management. These cannot be disabled. **Analytics Cookies:** Help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. We use privacy-respecting analytics tools. **Preference Cookies:** Remember your settings and preferences across sessions. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances: **Service Providers:** We work with trusted third-party companies to help us operate the Service, including: • Stripe (payment processing) • Cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and data storage • Analytics services • Customer support tools These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to perform services for us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. **Legal Requirements:** We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process (such as a court order or government subpoena). **Business Transfers:** If WiseNest is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. **With Your Consent:** We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent. **Advisor-Client Relationships:** Financial advisors using the Advisor tier may view the data they enter on behalf of their clients. This is an intended function of the Advisor service.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings, after which we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information for a longer period. Financial planning data stored in your account is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after cancellation, giving you time to export your data if needed.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include: • TLS encryption for all data in transit • Encryption at rest for sensitive data in our databases • Secure session management with PostgreSQL-backed sessions • Regular security assessments • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

WiseNest is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer.

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
